REPEAT AFTER ME: YOU ARE HERE.
... and I'm thankful you are.
About Me
When I stepped into the bliss of Motherhood, I wasn’t prepared to also step into my frumpy-mom era. I found myself in a whirlwind of two tiny tornadoes under three, mastering the art of juggling sippy cups and overstimulation. My body was operating like a busted Honda Accord, not the Tesla I’d been dreaming of. I was disconnected from my body and felt like I had no ownership in the direction of my day - I was at the whim of all the needs of others, activities, and chores that came with the season. I was no longer the CEO of me. If I couldn’t connect with myself, how was I going to connect with others in a meaningful and fulfilling way? I had a low energy budget and felt miles away from a charging station.
You are here, it's the mantra I kept coming back to as I made my journey through postpartum... oh and a global pandemic (the "he who must not be named" villain in my journey). Repeating these three words reminded me of the value that I brought to my family, my community, and those that I interacted with. They grounded me.. It's not woo-woo. It's a fact. The words put it in perspective. You get to be here. Right now. In this moment. Taking that ownership dramatically shifted how I showed up.
We tend to get wrapped up in the trivial moments, the moments that rip us away from seeing the bigger picture and what a gosh darn gift it is to be here and be a part of each day right now. Not to sound morbid, but some aren't so lucky. In the big picture, we're here for a blip on the radar. This moment, right now, is our time to step into our main character energy.
You are here is a connection to ourselves first, and how to nurture that relationship with movement and purpose. Join me in the quest for constant connection, with myself, movement and others - the journey of finding zen in chaos, and adding a purposeful dash to life's mix. I'm on a mission—a mission to help fellow women reconnect, escape the sensory overload brought on by kids, and release the tension trapped in our bodies. Let's untangle life's knots together.
If you’re feeling overstimulated, operating like a busted Honda, and have lukewarm feelings about getting outta bed each day, this space is for you. Repeat after me : You Are Here.
... and I'm thankful you are. 🤗
